Description
Welcome to the Cool Bells Club
FC Riverside County’s Adaptive Soccer Program.
At FC Riverside County, we believe that the joy of the game is for everyone. We are thrilled to introduce the Cool Bells Club, our new adaptive soccer program designed specifically for children with cognitive, developmental, physical, and sensory differences.
The Cool Bells Club isn’t just about kicking a ball; it’s about belonging, building confidence, improving physical fitness, and making friends in a supportive, understanding, and fun environment.
Our Adaptive Approach: Play With Purpose
The Cool Bells Club provides a safe and pressure-free space where children can learn the fundamentals of soccer at their own pace. As an adaptive program, we modify the curriculum, equipment, and environment from our core FC Riverside County classes to ensure every player can participate and succeed.
The FC Riverside County Standard of Excellence
What sets the Cool Bells Club apart is our unwavering commitment to quality. This adaptive program upholds the same high standards as all our soccer offerings, featuring our cornerstone commitment to coaching excellence.
-
Professional Coaching Staff: Our Cool Bells Club coaches are paid professionals. They are trained in adaptive sports techniques, focusing on positive reinforcement and clear communication.
-
Collegiate Experience: We maintain our cornerstone feature: all of our coaches have played soccer at the college or university level, bringing high-level expertise and passion to the field.
-
Low Player-to-Coach Ratio: We ensure small group sizes so that every participant receives the individualized attention they need to thrive.
-
Sensory-Considerate Environment: We carefully manage the environment to minimize sensory overload and utilize equipment that enhances engagement.
Our Programs
The Cool Bells Club offers adaptive variations of our core classes, ensuring age-appropriate activities and developmental focus.
Little Bellers
(Ages 3-5)
Our youngest athletes start their journey here. This adaptive class focuses on developing fundamental motor skills, balance, and coordination through imaginative games and sensory activities.
Focus: Motor skills, sensory engagement, socialization, and following simple directions.
Juniors
(Ages 6-8)
Players will learn foundational skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting through adaptive drills designed for success. We emphasize teamwork and communication in a non-competitive setting.
Focus: Basic soccer skills (dribbling, passing), understanding teamwork, and building confidence.
Athletes
(Ages 9-12)
For our older athletes, we focus on enhancing technical abilities, promoting physical fitness, and fostering strong social connections with peers. Players will participate in adapted drills and small-sided games.
Focus: Skill development, game understanding, physical fitness, and sportsmanship.
Equipment
Each participant must bring a ball (Size 3 for Little Belelrs; Size 4 for Junior and Athletes), shin guards, shorts or sweats, and appropriate soccer cleats (no metal). FC Riverside County provides all other equipment needed for our training program and leagues.
