The top 2 teams advance to a preliminary round to play each other, determining who will choose their semi-final opponent from the winners of the quarterfinals. Meanwhile, the other 4 teams play in quarterfinal matches. Winners of the quarterfinals proceed to the semi-finals, facing the team chosen by the top winner.
