Dear Community,
We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to reach out regarding our recent attempts to engage with the City of Corona about renting available fields. FC Riverside County was enthusiastic about the prospect of partnering and even offered higher-than-normal rental rates, along with a commitment to fund park upgrades.
Regrettably, we felt sidelined in this process, as we were unable to engage in a meaningful discussion about our proposal. This lack of dialogue has made it challenging for us to explore potential collaborations that could benefit the community, especially given the needs of new residents.
From the Owner to Local Leaders: The City of Corona is like an orange tree. An orange tree will produce lots of oranges through all its various branches. Every branch presents an opportunity to create a new orange. We have notable residents who are continuously innovating. The City of Corona has produced many oranges. They are ready to be enjoyed by the people.
I urge our legacy leaders, who helped build this great city, to please open yourself to the new oranges that the City of Corona has produced. FC Riverside County is a new orange. We have a lot to offer. We want to create a partnership in the future.
We sincerely hope that in the future, there may be an opportunity for more open communication, as we remain committed to working together for the betterment of our community.
We wanted to take a moment to reassure you that while we are navigating some challenges with our partnership proposal, we are currently exploring an expansion to a new location. We are not moving; rather, we are expanding! We are exploring a new location, with an announcement expected by the end of the week.
In the meantime, Crossroads will continue hosting our weekend games and our highly praised youth soccer program, ensuring our community can still enjoy these valuable activities.
Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to the possibility of future engagement.
Best regards,
FC Riverside County
