FC Riverside County Issues Statement on Brand Integrity and Future League Participation

CORONA, CA – September 10, 2025 – FC Riverside County today issued a formal statement addressing a violation of its brand integrity by the Southwest Super League and outlining the club’s future participation with the league. The club confirmed it will be re-evaluating its long-term relationship with the league following the administration’s unauthorized alteration of the FCRC brand name in public-facing schedules.

The club, which was officially registered as “FC Riverside County,” was listed on league schedules as “Southwest Super League FC Riverside County.” FCRC views this unauthorized rebranding as a fundamental violation of professional respect and a clear conflict with the club’s identity as a fully independent, community-based organization.

“Our name is our bond with our families. It represents our unique culture, our unprecedented investment in player and coach development, and our unwavering commitment to our community,” said Adrian Aros, founder of FC Riverside County. “We are building a destination club, not a feeder system. To have our brand identity co-opted without our consent is a non-negotiable breach of professional integrity. We will not allow our name, which our families and coaches trust, to be used as a marketing tool to legitimize other ventures.”

Despite this serious breach, FC Riverside County has made the decision to allow its current teams to complete the season.

“Our commitment to our players will always come first,” Aros continued. “For many of our players, this is their first time playing club soccer, and we will not allow a third party’s lack of professionalism to create a negative outcome or a letdown for our children. They have worked too hard for this opportunity. However, we will be pausing the entry of any new teams into this league and will focus on securing partnerships with established, professionally-run organizations like CalSouth for our future competitive endeavors.”

FC Riverside County was founded on a model of significant long-term capital investment, professionalizing coaching standards with top-tier pay, and providing a clear college pathway for its players. The club maintains that its mission requires it to protect its brand from any unauthorized affiliations that could mislead families or create confusion in the marketplace.

About FC Riverside County: FC Riverside County is a community-based organization focused on providing fun, recreational soccer experiences for players of all ages (2-16). Its primary goal is to provide fun, safe, and engaging recreational programs for players of all ages (2-16), from its “Little Bellers” to its weekend leagues. For dedicated players, the club also provides a clear and supported college pathway through its competitive club teams, led by high-level coaches. The club’s professional Media Division enhances these community-based activities by partnering with brands like Sky Zone to create exciting events and provide value for its members, with proceeds often supporting its Player Scholarship Fund.

Feedback on Partnership Proposal with the City of Corona

Dear Community,

We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to reach out regarding our recent attempts to engage with the City of Corona about renting available fields. FC Riverside County was enthusiastic about the prospect of partnering and even offered higher-than-normal rental rates, along with a commitment to fund park upgrades.

Regrettably, we felt sidelined in this process, as we were unable to engage in a meaningful discussion about our proposal. This lack of dialogue has made it challenging for us to explore potential collaborations that could benefit the community, especially given the needs of new residents.

From the Owner to Local Leaders: The City of Corona is like an orange tree. An orange tree will produce lots of oranges through all its various branches. Every branch presents an opportunity to create a new orange. We have notable residents who are continuously innovating. The City of Corona has produced many oranges. They are ready to be enjoyed by the people.

I urge our legacy leaders, who helped build this great city, to please open yourself to the new oranges that the City of Corona has produced. FC Riverside County is a new orange. We have a lot to offer. We want to create a partnership in the future.

We sincerely hope that in the future, there may be an opportunity for more open communication, as we remain committed to working together for the betterment of our community.

We wanted to take a moment to reassure you that while we are navigating some challenges with our partnership proposal, we are currently exploring an expansion to a new location. We are not moving; rather, we are expanding! We are exploring a new location, with an announcement expected by the end of the week.

In the meantime, Crossroads will continue hosting our weekend games and our highly praised youth soccer program, ensuring our community can still enjoy these valuable activities.

Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to the possibility of future engagement.

Best regards,

FC Riverside County

Corona: Open the Parks – Balance the Rates

Open the Parks

Balance the Rates

To the City of Corona

A Message From FC Riverside County

The City of Corona is discussing a resolution to open the parks to the residents. For many years, city-owned parks have sat largely empty, causing revenue losses for the city. The city is discussing a solution to provide greater park access while providing revenues to pay for the needed maintenance.

The parks have sat empty due to decades-old agreements that no longer meet the demands of our residents today. With a maturing industry that requires more needs, an economy experiencing severe inflation, and governments experiencing budget issues due to pension plans, the city can no longer afford to lose money on parks.

The Solution

To catch up with today's needs, the city is proposing increasing rental rates to a base price that would allow non-profit organizations to operate at a low cost while allowing the city to pay for proper maintenance. At the same time, the parks would be more accessible to groups like FC Riverside County.

How WE Can Help

FC Riverside County is offering the City of Corona grants to pay for park upgrades if a facility partnership can be established. At the same time, FC Riverside County promises to pay higher than normal rental rates to help the city generate a profit with its parks. Lastly, FC Riverside County provides soccer options for low-income residents through community partnerships. FC Riverside County offers a win-win solution for the community.

On top of the benefits above, we help create jobs in the community. FC Riverside County is not a volunteer-based organization and relies on paid staff. Beyond creating jobs, this helps build the industry by ensuring our future labor force access to high-paying jobs in the sports industry. Additionally, FC Riverside County is committed to research and development. Over the years, our research and development team has generated immense value for our community by founding various programs and tech solutions. Today, we stand as a leader in the industry, able to provide grant funding and long-term revenue opportunities to facilities, including city-owned parks.
